Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs. The States of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. JEE Advanced 2015 is the second stage of the two tier joint entrance exam (JEE) to admit candidates in the various IITs and ISM Dhanbad. The exam is jointly conducted each year by CBSE to provide admissions in the engineering professional degree courses in various branches.
All the admissions in the IITs will be done on the score achieved by candidate in the entrance exam. Top 1.5 Lakh Candidates would be selected from JEE Main 2015 to attempt the exam. Also, the qualified candidates have to be in top 20 percentage window of the respective Class XII boards to become eligible.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani will organize the BITSAT 2015 entrance examination to provide admissions to candidates into engineering undergraduate courses for session 2015-16. BITSAT 2015 will be conducted in online mode, where candidates have to mark the correct option from the given set using a computer system backed with internet connectivity.
Seats would be allotted to candidates through the score of BITSAT 2015 in any of three campuses situated at Hyderabad, Pilani and Goa. There’s an option for choosing dual degree course as well where candidates can complete two degrees, UG and PG level in five years span if they choose B.E. (Hons.) and M.Sc. (Hons.) as combination.

In compliance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi would be conducting the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test, for the academic session 2015-16. This entrance test is being conducted for the 15% merit positions in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directives of the Supreme Court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India from time to time.
There are also State Governments/Universities/Institutions voluntarily participating in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test – 2015 for using its merit list for admission in the Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges against seats under their control.
The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing merit list to the DGHS and participating States/Universities/Institutions.
The counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats is conducted by the DGHS and the Counselling for admission in seats under the control of other participating States/Universities/Institutions shall be conducted by their respective Authorities.
